Inspection Fees

The first thing I am usually asked by a potential client is, “How much does a home inspection cost?”

The short answer is, “It depends.”

Since every home is unique, my fees are based on the square footage of the home, the age, and any special features that may exist; such as a pool, a guest house, a barn, etc. This information is also a good indicator of the estimated time needed for the inspection. I schedule no more than two inspections per day so that I will be able give your new home the time it deserves.

My fees start at $300.00 for a home up to 1000 square feet, built after 1960.

I think you will agree that my fees are competitive, but that should not be the only factor used in determining which home inspector to use. I work hard to provide my clients with the best service possible, with a report that is easy to understand. The report will highlight any areas of concern and include photos of what is being described to aid in comprehension. I strive to have the report ready for you and your Realtor to download within 48 hours, but in many cases I am able to have the report ready the day following the inspection.

I understand that there are a lot of costs associated with buying a home, and that finding a way to reduce those costs may sound good in the short term, but deciding to go with the “lowest cost” home inspector may lead to expensive repairs down the road.
